Note to Cécile and Lucy

Cécile and Lucy-

Thank you for all of your patience and your help in getting this extra assignment approved. I understand how frustrating it must have been and how unappealing reading an extra 25 pages of writing must sound. However, I’ve set up this blog to make it as easy as possible for you two to access my writing. It’s an open blog so you should be able to leave comments just below my posts. For now, I’m going to put up a simple outline. Let me know what you think and if you hate something, just let me know and I’ll change it. My only stipulation is “writing 25 pages of quality work” as my adviser put it. He liked  the idea of a “project in combined travel writing and writing about art.”  As far as the grading goes, would you two like to choose what assignments you’re each reading? If you don’t care, I can just divide the total pages and put your name next to the post. Let me know what’s best. Also, there are a few posts where I ask for additional readings, just FYI. I’d appreciate any advice you can give.

Again, thank you for your time-
TALKED WITH DANICA AND MY DUE DATE IS JULY 4. It will all be posted and edited then. 🙂

Jun 30th: I’ve posted the final drafts of my work! Finally! I had trouble inserting accent marks in the bodies of the text, so please forgive the words that are missing them. For the essays, I’ve tried to use MLA guidelines for writing (which is standard at my home university), but I’ve changed the formatting for block quotes, headings, titles, etc. to better suit a blog. I hope that’s understandable. You can leave comments below my submissions if you like, but don’t feel like you have to leave a letter or number grade. I’ll get that on my official transcript once it’s included with the in class work. Once again, thank you for taking the time to look at my writing. Getting credit for this class is literally saving me THOUSANDS of dollars in the cost of an extra semester at my home university. THANK YOU!

Regarding the grading, I don’t really mind how we do it. Cécile ? Any preferences ?
